RP – Past Residents Wills<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A chance find, the contents of a solicitor’s offices were being cleared and a box of Wills & Probates was about to be dicarded in a skip. Luckily, they were rescued and added to the town’s archives.<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

RP – Tardebigge Census 1831<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of a family history project, a researcher had access to the Census of Tardebigge in 1831. They took the opportunity to transcribe it and again donate a copy to the town’s archives.. <\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

RP – Redditch Workers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the Lost Streets project, the town centre streets demolished during the New Town construction were documented. From this data we extracted a snapshot analysis of workers who once lived and worked in the town centre.<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

RP – Migration To Redditch<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the start of the 19th century, the population of Redditch was about 1.000 people. Today it is now nearly 90,000. Migration was a key factor in that population growth with migrants coming from different regions at different times for a variety of reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
